Crynodeb
In order to enhance the support already offered to pupils with physical and medical needs within the Physical Resource Base we are looking to recruit an LSA Level 3 for Physical Resource Base. This will be a temporary contract from April 2024 to April 2025 funded by the Local Authority. Future funding for this post will be reviewed April 2025.The purpose of the role is outlied below: To support identified pupils and provide a high quality service in meeting the needs of children with physical & medical needs to allow access and inclusion throughout the school day. Facilitate access to mainstream education. This includes in-class support (scribing, note taking, prompting, practical assistance) toileting, personal care, hoisting & manual handling, hands on support with dressing & PE, administering oxygen & medications (where necessary), supervision of social times, assistance at lunch-times and on school trips.To work under the guidance of a Specialist Teacher at the Physical Resource Base at St Cyres School Penarth, HLTA and members of the school leadership team and within an agreed system of supervision. Liaise with teachers on a regular basis on how to best support specific physical and learning needs.To access and use the school recording systems showing excellent IT skills to proficiently support learning and administration in the Physical Resource Base.
