Position Overview: We are seeking an enthusiastic and talented Early Career Teacher (ECT) of Science to join our dynamic team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an ECT to develop their teaching skills and contribute to the success of our students across Key Stages 3 to 5.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and effective science lessons to students across KS3, KS4, and KS5, demonstrating excellent pedagogy and a commitment to high standards.
- Plan and prepare lessons in line with the curriculum, ensuring all students are challenged and supported to achieve their full potential.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing regular feedback and using data to inform and adapt teaching strategies.
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and fosters a love for science.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and share best practices, contributing to the continuous improvement of the science department.
Qualifications:
- A degree in Science or a related field.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or working towards QTS.
- Demonstrated passion for teaching science and a commitment to fostering a positive learning environment.
- Strong understanding of effective teaching practices and the ability to implement them in the classroom.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents.
- Commitment to continuous professional development and a willingness to engage in training and development opportunities.
