We are looking for either a Band 5 Occupational Therapist wishing to take their next steps on the career ladder or an existing Band 6 looking for a new challenge to join our forward-thinking Occupational Therapy Team, who are passionate about the evolving role of an OT in the community hospital setting.

You will have the opportunity to work with a wide range of patients who will present with many complex needs throughout their acute hospital stay.

Within the Team you will work alongside an existing integrated multi-disciplinary team, using a fusion-skilled hybrid approach, focusing on high quality care, promoting comprehensive assessments, and supporting hospital teams in appropriate admission avoidances over a seven-day service. A willingness to work flexibly and to undertake tasks traditionally allocated to specific disciplines are all requirements of the role.

As a Band 6 therapist you will be supporting and developing rotational Band 5 therapists. The role also involves supervising therapy support staff and educating therapy students on placement.

There will be opportunities for innovation and an expectation that you will be actively involved in relevant quality improvement projects.

Our friendly Service offers support through regular supervision, appraisal, training and development opportunities.
