Role Overview:
We are seeking dedicated and enthusiastic Cover Supervisors to join our team. The successful candidates will play a crucial role in maintaining the continuity of learning in the absence of teaching staff, ensuring a positive and productive classroom environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise classes during teacher absences, ensuring students remain engaged and on task.
Deliver pre-prepared lesson plans and resources, maintaining the established curriculum.
Manage classroom behaviour, adhering to school policies and procedures.
Provide support to students, answering questions and assisting with learning activities.
Liaise with teaching staff to ensure a smooth transition for returning teachers.
Contribute to the wider school community and participate in staff meetings and training sessions.
Requirements:
Previous experience in a similar role or working with young people is desirable.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage classroom behaviour effectively.
Flexible and adaptable approach to work.
A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
A relevant qualification (e.g., degree or teaching assistant certification) is an advantage but not essential.
