You will have good time management and prioritisation of work whilst under pressure and be a proactive individual and team player. Good working knowledge of IT and Microsoft Excel essential. The ideal person might be part/fully qualified or just by experience with an understanding of all aspects of tax and PAYE and able to process Tax Returns and use Sage Accounts 50. Candidates will be well presented, progressive in outlook and responsibility and able to work to deadlines as part of a team or independently.
The main function of this Position will start with the following and will evolve over time for career progression:
• General book-keeping; using Sage online 50 and Excel spreadsheets
• Purchase Ledger
• Completing Tax calculations
• Liaising with clients, in person, via the telephone and written correspondence
• Liaising with HMRC on behalf of clients via the telephone and written correspondence
• Making notes associated with incoming and outgoing correspondence on clients’ files and logging all correspondence
• Accurately charging time to the relevant files
• Completing and submitting tax returns to HMRC
This full-time position requires a logical and mature approach, an ability to be flexible and to work under own initiative or within the team, sometimes under pressure and to deadlines.
