Foodbuy Solutions team, part of the wider Digital and Technology department, is responsible for the design, build and support of our in-house e-procurement system.The SQL Developer will be a member of this team and work across the Compass UK & Ireland business sectors, supporting and enhancing the existing system to meet business demand via strategic and tactical solutions.

We are looking for an experienced SQL developer (MySQL and Microsoft SQL).You’ll have excellent time management and prioritisation skills as there are a high volume of work requests. You’ll engage with a variety of stakeholders and be involved in ongoing process improvements, so the ability to adapt to change is important.You must be able to demonstrate a maturity in approach when engaging with and supporting the IT Leadership team and the wider business in general.In addition, you’ll have excellent communication, listening and negotiation skills in order to articulate ideas and thoughts clearly through various means, including written and oral communications with all levels of the organisation.

- To provide SQL technical capabilities to our Foodbuy Solutions team.
- With the support of the team, interpret requirements & drive out solutions.
- Provide ongoing support to the e-procurement system.
- Work collaboratively with other D&T and business project teams to ensure quality solutions are delivered.
