Join our client's dynamic team at their Motherwell location as an Industrialisation Engineer, reporting directly to the Process & Quality Manager. Your primary focus will be on enhancing, developing, and refining manufacturing processes to align with their safety, cost, quality, and productivity goals. Here's what you'll be diving into:
- Spearhead initiatives to boost manufacturing efficiency by reimagining current processes and implementing innovative solutions.
- Take the lead in crafting manufacturing designs, outlining equipment and tool specifications, and associated technical requirements.
- Devise and deploy tools for streamlined cost calculations and monitoring, streamlining our quoting and real cost evaluation processes.
- Drive the creation and upkeep of Value Stream Maps, ensuring our processes stay agile and optimised.
- Develop comprehensive process guides and training materials to maintain standard work instructions.
- Oversee the Engineering Change Control process, ensuring seamless transitions from R&D to Operations.
- Utilise analytical problem-solving methodologies to tackle any quality issues, ensuring swift integration into manufacturing processes.
- Develop and uphold APQP documents, including PFMEA and flow charts, to maintain quality standards.
- Formulate preventive maintenance and spare parts plans for equipment, ensuring smooth operations.
The Candidate
- An accomplished Engineer with a experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Ideally, you hold a degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
- Possess a Green Belt certification in Six Sigma.
- Demonstrate proficiency in Engineering Change Management principles.
- Proven track record in problem-solving, root cause analysis, and lean manufacturing techniques.
- Familiarity with ISO 9001 standards would be advantageous.
