Summary
Connect Appointments have a new opportunity within the Blantyre area of South Lanarkshire, for an experienced Maintenance Engineer to join our clients growing team.
Reporting to the Factory Manager, your duties and responsibilities as a Maintenance Engineer will include, but not limited to:
- Ensuring all maintenance jobs are carried out safely, observing site rules and required risk assessments
- Servicing and repairing all mechanical plant equipment
- Carrying out scheduled planned maintenance tasks, maximising plant efficiency and minimising downtime
- Advising the line management of potential maintenance/plant problems
- Following the company's Health & Safety policies and procedures
- Ensuring the engineering workshop and offices are all maintained and operate to a high standard (organised, clean & tidy)
- Prioritising workload, in liaison with factory manager, to provide the most effective maintenance service possible
To be successful within this Maintenance Engineer position you will have proven (evidence of qualifications) training for hands on engineering skills. Plus, good interpersonal skills, as well as being able to work alone and/or as part of a team. Combined with the following skills and traits:
- A good attitude to work, promoting and supporting the company's values
- A flexible and responsive approach to work, with the ability to take responsibility and justify actions
- Beneficial but not essential - A basic knowledge of electrical systems
- Beneficial but not essential - Higher education (HNC or HND) in electrical or mechanical engineering
