A Vacancy at The Newcastle upon Tyne Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
We are delighted to be able to offer opportunities for highly motivated, ambitious individuals to join our well-integrated and friendly neonatal team. This post will be suitable for a doctor in paediatrics who intends to gain experience in a tertiary neonatal intensive care unit.
The appointee will be responsible for providing clinical cover to the neonatal unit under direct supervision of registrars and consultants. The appointee will work alongside the junior doctors in a rota which is EWTD compliant. There are extensive support and opportunities to participate in audit and research.
Appointees will be provided with a consultant supervisor and expect to receive regular (three monthly) clinical and personal appraisals and will also be encouraged to complete a personal development plan. There is an excellent daily teaching first thing in the morning. All doctors are encouraged to attend daily neonatal teaching in the unit. Standard study leaves and annual leaves apply.
