Role overview

Join us as a Family Support Worker and become an integral part of our dedicated team at the Visitor Centre. You'll be at the heart
of providing essential support to families visiting their loved ones. With a range of services including play and children's
activities, as well as catering, you'll play a vital role in ensuring families feel welcomed and supported during their visits.




Working alongside the PACT Family team, you'll primarily be based in the bustling visitor centre and visits hall, where you'll
offer valuable support, advice, and guidance to families. From facilitating prison visits to organising family days, and
supporting the play service, you'll make a real difference in the lives of those affected by incarceration. Join us in this
rewarding role where you'll be part of creating meaningful connections and providing much-needed support to families during
challenging times.




About You:




To be successful in this role you will have experience and understanding of working with families in a challenging environment,
ideally involving offenders and/or their families. You will also have excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage a
demanding work load. You will have the ability to contribute to planning and development of Pact’s family work and also have
knowledge of safeguarding/child protection practice. Furthermore you will have excellent interpersonal communication skills and
ability to work in build partnerships with a range of agencies.
