An opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated and enthusiastic Clinical Embryologist to join the IVF team at the Wolfson Fertility Centre (Imperial College Healthcare Trust) to work in our state of the art lab using the latest equipment and offering comprehensive assisted conception services.

The successful candidate will join one of the most prestigious units in the UK. The Wolfson Fertility Centre at Imperial College Healthcare Trust undertakes more than 800 IVF/ICSI cycles a year, as well PGT, embryo cryopreservation, gamete donation and surrogacy. The Unit has several active research programmes aligned with Imperial College London and is an accredited training centre for Scientists.

You should have at least 3 years’ experience in clinical embryology. The successful candidate will be personable, have excellent communication skills, good verbal and written English language skills and be a strong team-player, enabling them to deal with patients directly and liaise with colleagues. Ideally the candidate should be state registered with the HCPC however, applications from final year STP students or those eligible for state registration will be considered.

The positionwill involve participation in theweekend/out of hours roster and would suit someone with excellent team playing skills and attention to detail.

This position is for full time fixed term (one year). Applications may close earlier once we receive a suitable number of applicants.
• The Clinical Embryologist participates in the provision of laboratory services for assisted conception treatments, together with diagnostic andrology and cryobanking of gametes/embryos, according to all relevant professional Codes of Conduct.
• The Clinical Embryologist maintains full and proper records in compliance with prevailing legislations, as well as participating in data analysis and audit.
• The Clinical Embryologist must practise using effective self-management of workload, whilst working both within the embryology team and the wider ACU team. In addition to embryological duties, it is expected that the Clinical Embryologist will provide limited supervision of trainees (under the guidance of the Senior Clinical Embryologist), as well as taking responsibility for a defined area of work under the direction of the Senior Embryologist and/or Lead Embryologist.
