Exciting Opportunity: SEND Teaching Support

Are you driven by a desire to make a meaningful impact? Have you had experience working with children or vulnerable adults? Perhaps you've provided personal support to individuals with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)?

We are seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant/Teaching Assistant to join a dynamic SEND provision in Newcastle.

Our students encompass a range of special needs, including ASD/SLD/PMLD/Social, Emotional, Mental Health needs (SEMH), and complex learning disabilities. We're seeking individuals with a genuine passion to contribute in this area.

Responsibilities:

In this role, you'll use your expertise in learning support, along with your excellent communication skills and creativity, to adopt a diverse approach in aiding pupils with SEND to understand information and navigate through their educational journey.

- Demonstrates active listening and exceptional verbal communication skills.
- Committed to building positive relationships with students and understanding their unique requirements.
- Provides individualized attention, reassurance, and assistance with learning tasks.
- Capable of handling complex and sensitive issues with empathy and insight.

This is a full-time position, requiring availability five days a week between 8:30 am and 3:30 pm. Kindly apply only if you can meet these requirements. Salary is dependent on experience.
