Summary

We are currently recruiting for Bank Staff for Drivers and Learning Disability Support Worker roles for our Day Centres in Blyth, Coundon (Bishop Auckland), Hexham and Newcastle.

Bank Staff are paid at the same rate as our employees and enjoy benefits such as accrued annual leave (36 days per annum pro rata), discounted meals and free refreshments at our Day Centre cafes.

Bank Staff cover planned and unplanned Staff absences with hours varying for 4 - 37 weekly.

Drivers work from 07.30 to 09.30 and from 15.30 - 17.00 bringing Clients (adults with learning disabilities) in to our Day Centres in our minibuses.

Learning Disability Support Workers work between 08.30 and 16.30 (Monday - Thursday) and 08.30 - 16.00 on Fridays, delivering activities sessions on and off sites to groups of adults with learning disability. Our sessions focus on developing employment skills and life skills, all adults in our care with mental capacity and aspirations to lead as independent lives as possible. Learning Disability Support Workers must be able to drive our minibuses since activities are both on and off site in the community.

Applicants must have a clear enhanced DBS for Adult Services before starting with Journey, two professional (or academic) references and a clear full UK driving licence.
