ESS are looking to hire a dedicated and reliable chef to help run our busy friendly Community Hub & Café Monday to Sunday
Experience is required.
Flexible working hours to meet business needs.
Duties include however are not limited to:
• Cleaning and sanitising food preparation areas to establish proper hygiene.
• Washing and storing all cooking appliances, utensils, cutting boards, and dishes
• Performing basic preparatory tasks, including washing, and cutting produce, combining ingredients in recipes
• Sweeping and mopping kitchen floors and wiping walls
• Receiving, labelling, and storing deliveries
• Comply with all food health and safety regulations.
• To complete food orders and keep the kitchen working efficiently.
Successful applicates should exercise exceptional personal hygiene, time management, and ensure that all duties are completed in a timely manner and comply with all food health and safety regulations.
Chef Skills & Responsibilities:
• To complete food orders and keep the kitchen working efficiently.
• Ability to perform well under pressure and work quickly and efficiently.
• Excellent customer service skills and the ability to enjoy working with others
• Keenness to follow instructions and prepare ingredients according to the Managers directions
• Organisation skills and the ability to keep track of kitchen inventory.
• Knowledge of cooking techniques and methods
• Understanding of health and safety regulations regarding food preparation and storage
• Understanding of how to use kitchen equipment.
• Excellent personal hygiene
