The post holder will be responsible for planning and delivering IT Training to Trust staff. The training requirements will include Clinical Systems, basic IT skills, and Microsoft Office products including upgrades to those applications.

The post holder will have a sound understanding of clinical systems (SystmOne) and how it is used in both Mental Health and Community settings within the Trust.

Training requirements will be based on a comprehensive annual Training Needs Analysis, developed in conjunction with Business Partners and Divisional Teams. This will form the basis of the annual digital skills plan.

This plan will address digital skills’ training needs across services and divisions, and will incorporate a blended learning approach to include training videos and multimedia content.

The postholder will work with divisional staff and business partners to assess the best mode (or modes) of delivery for each requirement.

The role will require a good understanding of learning methodologies and how to apply them to maximise learning outcomes.

To ensure that staff members within the Trust have the digital skills necessary to exploit fully the IT resources made available to them in order to provide a better service to patients.
1. Delivery of high quality professional Clinical Systems & MS Office training to staff across the Trust
2. Work with Divisions to develop and agree a Training Needs Analysis
3. Develop a Digital Skills Plan to address skills gaps
4. Determine and record the IT training needs of all Trust members of staff.
5. Participate in providing advice and guidance on modes of delivery
6. Develop, organise and run group courses for Trust staff in the use of:
7. Clinical Applications, including SystmOne.
8. Microsoft Office Applications
9. E-mail applications
10. Basic computer skills
11. Develop any training materials needed to support courses. Convert generic training documents to service specific training manuals, ensuring these remain current where necessary.
12. Provide ad hoc, first line IT training support to staff.
13. Support project managers and other project staff in determining IT training requirements and advise on the most effective method of delivering that training. This will include management of any required delivery of external training required to deliver projects within required timeframes.

You will be working within a small and very busy team. The team work with and provide support to staff across the trust. We value the importance of good customer service.

• To participate in the SystmOne SuperUser meetings and the use of Teams
• Familiarisation of the use of Teams as the main teaching tool and document storage area
• To support the organisation's ways of working, model its values and champion CNWL way of working "More Time for Care"
• To participate in appraisals and personal reviews and work to achieve agreed set objectives
• To participate in appropriate training and development activities
• To participate in team, professional and personal development activities and promote commitment to continuous development and improvement
• To ensure the health, safety and wellbeing of all staff within the directorate
• To ensure compliance with all confidentiality and governance requirements within the department
• To adhere to professional codes of conduct at all times
• To be a central resource as it relates to new staff navigating their onboarding processes and procedures.
• Competent in the Trust’s Learning Management System LDZ
• Competent on SystmOne and its use within both Mental Health and Community settings
