Summary


An excitingopportunity has arisen to join our Resuscitation Team as the resuscitation coordinator and manage the clerical services of the resuscitation Team. The position will be based in Central London. This is a full time, permanent position.

The Resuscitation Training Team provide timely education, training and advice on resuscitation and recognition and management of patient deterioration to both clinicians and non-clinicians throughout the Trust. We are looking for a motivated person who can work flexibly either alone or as part of a team. The key element of the role will be coordinating RCUK ILS courses. Other elements of the role will include supporting planning and management of the team’s other resuscitation training and clerical services. It may from time to time include supporting audits and simulations within wards and services across the Trust.

The post holder should have some experience of working within health care, ideally within the NHS. The applicant should be IT literate be confident with Microsoft applications. A high level of administrative skills and self-management will be required.The role will require you to work with a wide range of professionals and respond to a various challenge that arise. The successful applicant will be based in Central London but must be willing travel across London and Milton Keynes where the services and training are delivered.

Key Tasks
1. Provide confidential administrative support to the Nurse consultant deteriorating patient and clinical skills , Resuscitation manager and Resuscitation Officers as required. This will include minute taking for Resuscitation Committee meetings, typing of confidential reports and letters, policies and procedures, the organisation of different meeting groups and maintenance of an effective database of information and audit data.
2. To be responsible for and manage the coordination and implementation of all external accredited Resuscitation Courses, liaising with Course Directors, instructors, candidates and all other stakeholders.
3. Coordinate training dates, staff training diaries and locations for all Resus courses

4. Set up and Coordinate the development of a Resuscitation faculty- internal CNWL staff, both bank and substantive who support ILS training within the trust. Provide coordination
5. Take a pro-active role in meetings, functions, service and symposiums
6. To ensure an appropriate, effective and timely system for stock control, including stock and non-stock items in conjunction with resus team requirements.
7. To receive complex confidential information, and analyse and disseminate to appropriate stakeholders
8. Able to sustain concentration on complex tasks despite frequent interruptions, including working across multiple sites
9. Provide and receive information effectively when dealing with stakeholders ensuring requests are prioritised and recorded accordingly and escalating when required.
10. Responsible for the setting up and maintenance of electronic databases to assist in the smooth running of the Resuscitation Team liaising with stakeholders ensuring relevant information passed on.
11. Assisting with the design and production of leaflets and other publicity to promote the Resuscitation Service both across the Trust and Nationally.
12. To ensure Resus team equipment is accounted for and monitored across multiple training sites.
13. To set up and lead on the pilot of tendable, as a mechanism of daily Resus equipment checking for wards and teams, if successful lead on the roll out across the trust
14. Development and ownership of a Resus and deteriorating patient action log including incident tracking, and relevant data management ,analyse information, identifying trends communicating with relevant action holders and leads.


Training Responsibilities
1. To lead and manage the roll out of the new Basic life support system of training for
administrators
3. Liaison with a wide range of departments within the Trust including Consultant level and outside organisations including National External Governing bodies to ensure the smooth administration of training courses
4. Responsible for processing invoices, raising cheques and expenditure.
5. Responsible for coming up with methods for promoting resuscitation training within the trust: coming up with communications, reaching out to site managers/matrons/lead nurses to spread awareness of the need for resuscitation
training and improve attendance.


Further Responsibilities
1. The trust is currently in the process of adapting its resuscitation policy in order to adjust to a greater emphasis on resuscitation training and adapting our resuscitation auditing system. The holder of this post should be able to think proactively in order to find efficiencies and streamline the process, and come up with innovative ideas to
consistently improve processes.
