Job Opportunity: SEND Teacher

Are you a dedicated and passionate educator with a desire to make a difference in the lives of children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)? Are you ready to lead a classroom where every student is valued, supported, and empowered to succeed? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you in the charming town of Ludlow, Shropshire!

Ludlow Primary School is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced SEND Teacher to join our team and play a key role in providing high-quality education and support to our SEND students.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons that cater to the diverse needs and abilities of SEND students, ensuring every child has the opportunity to thrive.
• Create a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment where students feel safe, respected, and encouraged to reach their full potential.
• Develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) for SEND students, in collaboration with parents, support staff, and external professionals.
• Utilize a variety of teaching strategies and resources to accommodate different learning styles and address the unique challenges of SEND students.
• Monitor student progress closely, assess individual needs, and adapt teaching methods and interventions accordingly to facilitate academic and personal growth.

Key Skills and Requirements:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience teaching students with SEND, preferably in a primary school setting.
• Comprehensive knowledge of SEND legislation, assessment methods, and best practices in special education.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to effectively manage time, resources, and administrative tasks related to SEND provision.
• Empathy, patience, and resilience to support students with diverse needs and overcome challenges together as a team.
