We are looking for passionate and enthusiastic Social Workers, who have the childs voice at the heart of everything they do, to join us in our MASH team! MASH are a lively,fast-paced team with a passion for ensuring that children, young people and families in our community receive a positive and timely service. The work is rich, varied and allows for a high level of multi-agency working, often to tight timelines. The nature of our work means that you see positive outcomes quickly. You will be joining a highly effective and supportive team which is made up of both social care qualified and alternatively qualified staff. We areco-located with Health, Police, Adult Social Care, Early Help and Education colleagues, as well as a number of virtual partners,in the Multi Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) based at the Police Headquarters, Hinchingbrooke, Huntingdon.Our team is supported by Childrens Information and Advice Officers (CIAOs) which makes administrative tasks much more manageable. We pride ourselves on providing all workers in the MASH with a friendly, safe, and supportive environment to work in.This is a hybrid post with requireddays in the office and other days working from home. As a MASH Social Worker you will: Completemulti agency enquires, using verbal and written communication skills to engage with families, MASH workers and partner agencies to apply thresholds for intervention and to analyse levels of risk on a daily basis. Act as the lead professional and ensure all matters in respect of safeguarding are dealt with promptly, effectively and in line with child protection procedures, escalating where necessary. Undertake assessments to identify and respond to needs, building on strength and ensuring that analysis is robust and leads to clear outcomes that can be met through SMART targets. Engage with children, young people, and their families to develop effective and empowering relationships which facilitate change and improve outcomes. Produce reports and plans for a variety of forums, including court, which are child focussed and reflect their experience. About you To be successful in this role you will have strong communication and decision-making skills.You will be able to demonstrate that you can think creatively in delivering targeted support and intervention and have a significant level of knowledge and experience in Children's Social Care. You will be able to demonstrate your ability as a social worker and understanding of threshold application, within atimely manner to ensure children, young people and families receive the right service at the right time.
