Summary

We are looking for passionate and enthusiastic Social Workers, who have the child’s voice at the heart of everything they do, to join us in our MASH team!

MASH are a lively, fast-paced team with a passion for ensuring that children, young people and families in our community receive a positive and timely service. The work is rich, varied and allows for a high level of multi-agency working, often to tight timelines. The nature of our work means that you see positive outcomes quickly.

You will be joining a highly effective and supportive team which is made up of both social care qualified and alternatively qualified staff. We are co-located with Health, Police, Adult Social Care, Early Help and Education colleagues, as well as a number of virtual partners, in the Multi Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) based at the Police Headquarters, Hinchingbrooke, Huntingdon. Our team is supported by Children’s Information and Advice Officers (CIAOs) which makes administrative tasks much more manageable.

We pride ourselves on providing all workers in the MASH with a friendly, safe, and supportive environment to work in. This is a hybrid post with required days in the office and other days working from home.

If this sounds like an environment where you would thrive, we would love to hear from you! For more information, call Nathalie on 01223 475920 or email joinus@cambridgeshire.gov.uk.

Interviews will be held virtually on Microsoft Teams w/c 3rd June.

Appointment to this post will be subject to the outcome of an Enhanced Disclosure obtained through the Disclosure and Barring Service. The Council is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and vulnerable adults and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.

This role will be required to work from a police building and therefore this post will be subject to the outcome of a Police vetting check.

We support flexible working requests from day one of employment and so we are open to discussing different working patterns to help you bring your best self to work.
