TU Online Ltd is a wholly owned subsidiary of Teesside University with a dedicated focus upon providing flexible online learning opportunities across a range of 100% online courses, from degrees to doctorates.

TU Online Ltd is looking for an academic Tutor, to deliver 100% online MA Digital Communications and MA Producing for Film and TV

The successful candidate will ensure the high quality of teaching upon the courses, conduct marking and assessment and provide feedback. Tutors are expected to provide online tuition, assessment of students' work according to given marking schemes, and giving feedback to students to help them in their learning, providing academic support through online tuition teaching methods.

Successful applicants will hold at least a relevant Degree, relevant Masters and significant practical work experience in relevant professional sector(s).

To be considered for the role it is desirable you will be able to evidence experience in the following areas; digital media and technologies, social media, digital journalism, user experience and optimisation, content design, digital communication channels, global communication strategies, producing for film and TV, historical and critical analysis of producing for film and TV, production funding and finance (institutional / market / industry), marketing, distribution and exhibition for film and TV, story and talent development for film and TV

You will be the first point of contact for students for module-related and study-related advice and support, and monitor the progress of students on their module, including making contact with students who do not submit assignments and implementing appropriate interventions, where required.

The role would suit candidates with previous online learning experience in higher education with the background and skills as detailed, who enjoy working in a collaborative and supportive working environment.
