We are a school providing tailored support for students aged 11–16 with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health needs. Our students benefit from individualised education plans, often supported by additional needs such as ASD, ADHD, and attachment challenges. Role Overview
We are currently looking for an empathetic and proactive Teaching Assistant to support our SEMH students. Working alongside our teaching team, you will play a key role in delivering a bespoke learning experience to meet the unique needs of each child. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to improving student outcomes while creating a positive, structured learning environment.

Key Duties and Responsibilities
Collaborate with teachers to provide one-on-one and group support to students with SEMH and additional needs.

Assist in the development and implementation of personal learning plans and behaviour strategies.

Help create a calm and supportive classroom atmosphere conducive to learning and personal growth.

Actively engage with students, encouraging participation and fostering their emotional resilience.

Monitor and track student progress, offering positive reinforcement and appropriate feedback.

Manage challenging behaviour with patience and consistency, ensuring the safety and well-being of all students.

Build strong relationships with students, parents, and external agencies to ensure holistic support.

Provide general administrative support and contribute to the school's extracurricular activities where needed.

Essential and Desirable Skills
Experience working with students with SEMH, ASD, or other behavioural challenges.

Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Ability to stay calm, focused, and consistent when managing challenging behaviours.

Team Teach or similar de-escalation/restraint training is desirable but not required. Full training will be provided.
