The purpose of a Club Steward/Stewardess is to provide a high level of service within a licenced premises and to oversee the day to day running of the social club which includes:
To maintain the club premises and ensure health and safety regulations are observed
Opening, closing and manning the bar along with bar staff when on shift
Provide a friendly, efficient and professional service to the members and handle any complaints or queries professionally
Employ and manage bar, door and kitchen staff inline with current regulations ensuring excellent service and competing weekly timesheets
Ensure highest standards of hygiene and cleanliness are maintained
Enforcing club rules and regulations
Ordering and maintaining tight control of stock levels
Liaise with the Secretary to obtain best prices and deals with suppliers
Control celler maintainance and quality of product
Daily cash reconciliation of bar takings
Overall responsibility for security, cleanliness, presentation, services and facilities offered to club members
Help to plan and organise special events and activities
Ability to work under pressure and be part of a team
Excellent organisational and IT skills
