Job Title: School holidays Support Worker

Responsible to: Employer

Rate of pay: £11.44 per hour

Hours of Work: 6 Hours per week across one day
Day can be flexible
School holiday support

Location: Stowmarket IP14



Purpose of the Job:

I am looking for a support worker to support my 14-year-old son for 6 hours per week during school holidays. He enjoys being out in the community, visiting zoo’s, trampoline parks and going to the cinema. The young boy is autistic and has a speech disorder, no personal care is required as he is fully independent.

As this child's support worker, you will work alongside the employer (Parent) following her guidance and direction until such time that the child's confidence and trust is gained.


Health & Safety

Personal Specification
Driver will full driving licence.
Be patient and supportive.
Be friendly and outgoing.
Be honest, reliable, and trustworthy.
Be respectful of the employer’s dignity, at all times.
Understand the need for privacy and confidentiality.
You should have a thorough understanding of personal safety.
Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills.
A willingness to undergo any training highlighted by the employer.
You should have some knowledge and understanding of risks.
Have an awareness and knowledge of equal opportunities.
