Locum Educational Psychologist
Description
We are seeking a dedicated and driven Locum Educational Psychologist to join our team. As a Locum Educational Psychologist, you will play a crucial role in supporting the psychological well-being and educational development of children and young people. In this role, you will work closely with schools, teachers, parents, and other professionals to assess and address a variety of learning and behavioral difficulties. Additionally, you will provide recommendations and interventions to optimize a child's learning experience and promote positive outcomes.
Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations of students' cognitive, social, emotional, and behavioral development
Collaborate with school staff and parents to develop Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) for students with special educational needs
Provide counseling and therapeutic support to students experiencing emotional or behavioral challenges
Deliver training and workshops to school staff and parents on topics such as behavior management and inclusive education practices
Conduct research and collect data to support evidence-based interventions and practices
Attend multidisciplinary meetings with other professionals to discuss and plan interventions for students
Monitor the progress of students receiving support and adapt interventions as necessary
Requirements
Master's degree or higher in Educational Psychology or a related field
Full registration with the [country] Psychological Society (or equivalent)
Proven experience working with children and young people with a range of social, emotional, and behavioral difficulties
Knowledge of relevant legislation and policies regarding special educational needs and inclusion
Strong assessment and diagnostic skills, using a range of psychological tools and techniques
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts to a range of audiences
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team, and to build effective relationships with students, parents, and professionals
Hours Per Week: 35.00
Start Time: 09:00
End Time: 17:30
Pay Rate: £961.00
