Customer Support – Night Shift Team Leader

Forth Valley Royal Hospital, Larbert, FK5 4EB

Full time – 33.5 hours per week, Shift 2045 – 0600 hours. 4 days on, 4 days off.

Main Purpose:

An exciting recruitment opportunity has arisen within Serco for a Relief Customer Support Team Leader to work within the Forth Valley Royal Hospital. The Forth Valley Royal Hospital has 860 beds which consist of 50% single bed occupancy and covers a single site of approximately 95,000 square metres of floor space.

The Customer Support Team Leader will play a pivotal role in providing support to the housekeeping and/or domestic teams. Effectively deploying staff and resources to ensure a high quality of service delivery.
Ensuring hygiene standards within the domestic and catering environment are monitored and maintained.

Main Accountabilities:


- Responsible for leading a team in maintaining a clean, healthy, and safe environment for patients, visitors, and staff.
- Working within an established multi skilled department responsible for providing a high quality and cost-effective service that complements the patient experience.
- You will be required to participate as a full member of the wider team, supporting colleagues and working flexibly to assist others.
- To provide support to the Housekeepers and Domestic Assistants.
- You will be responsible for the deployment daily of a team of domestic and/or housekeepers within the required area.
- You will be required to work flexibly between ward and department areas assisting with tasks where necessary.
- You will be required to work on customer satisfaction and relationship building within all areas and provide effective communication with all levels of staff.
- You shall control and monitor staff performance of duties and manage absenteeism and arrange cover as necessary.
- You will require. You shall ensure that cleaning is in line with NHS National Cleaning Standards. Further requirements
- Assist the Customer Support Manager in areas relevant to training and experience.



What you will need for the role:


- To have knowledge of all current Hygiene and Health and Safety legislation and ensure staff are fully inducted.
- Compliance with operational policies on H&S, COSHH and other statutory legislation.
- It is also a requirement to report hazards. You will be responsible for stock control checks and suitable storage of materials in line with Health and Safety and COSSH.
