Crynodeb
To provide specific insights and spiritual/religious care to those who identify as Roman Catholic. To share in the religious, pastoral, spiritual and cultural support to all service users (including those of no faith and belief other than the Chaplains) as referred to. To take responsibility for their own caseload of patients and clients with wide-ranging and complex spiritual and religious needs. To assist in the provision of training regarding spiritual and religious care. To support service users in highly distressing emotional circumstances and times of crisis such as bereavement; palliative care; mental illness or at end of life. To provide regular ward visits and have a visible approach and profile on the wards across the hospitals, primarily at the Royal Stoke University Hospital. To provide a high standard of care, in line with the policies and guidelines of UHNM and in accordance with national chaplaincy guidelines and competencies. In addition to working 0.3 FTE hours, the chaplain will participate in a shared on-call rota which will involve responding to out of hours and covering at the weekend.
