Connect Appointments have an exciting opportunity for experienced Maturation Manager to join our client in Arbroath!

For this role, our client is looking for an ambitious candidate with a proven track record of working within a Bonded Maturation Environment.

As a Maturation Manager, you'll be responsible for leading and managing the day-to-day operations. This will include overseeing the Warehouse KPIs, health & safety, quality and ensuring the team meets its objectives, whilst maintaining the highest standards of quality, productivity and safety.

Working as a Maturation Manager:

  • Strategically managing the warehouse in compliance with the company's policies and vision
  • Overseeing receiving, warehousing and dispatch operations
  • Ensuring that the available space is effectively utilised
  • Adhering to all warehousing, handling, and shipping legislation requirements
  • Maintaining standards of health & safety, hygiene, and security
  • Managing stock control and reconciling with our TROPOS ERP system
  • Managing the operational budget and identify cost-saving opportunities
  • Liaising with customers, suppliers, and transport companies
  • Planning work rotas, assigning tasks appropriately and appraising results
  • Recruiting, selecting, coaching, and motivating employees
  • Producing reports and statistics regularly
  • Receiving feedback and monitoring the quality of services provided

The successful Maturation Manager will have:

  • Expertise in warehouse management procedures and best practices
  • Experience in Maturation and Storage of Casks
  • Previous stock control and supply chain management
  • Previous ERP systems experience and sound knowledge of MRP is essential
  • Excellent communication skills

Desired traits, skills and experience:

  • Leadership skills and the ability to effectively manage multiple teams
  • Proven ability to implement process improvement initiatives
  • Strong knowledge of warehousing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
  • Hands-on experience with warehouse management software and databases
  • Strong decision making and problem-solving skills
