What you'll be doing;


  • Work collaboratively with multi disciplinary teams to identify and deliver projects and solutions in accordance with Veolia procedures and regulatory requirements in order to deliver robust solutions and to meet facility/asset availability targets.
  • Communication with key stakeholders (internal & external) regarding project progress, operational and engineering issues and any change in priorities.
  • Liaise with site/plant operations and maintenance teams, Asset Manager, finance and commercial teams to ensure site project's programme is aligned to business needs.
  • Selection, monitoring and coordination of external contractors involved in projects.
  • Ensuring project documentation meets business requirements including Project Definition Documents, Project Quality Plans, Project Health and Safety Plans, Method Statements, Risk Assessments, Management of Change, Commissioning, Acceptance, Post-project Reviews etc.
  • Involvement in development of new process and engineering solutions for facilities/plant by identifying and deploying viable technological solutions.
  • Support the Asset Manager by coordinating CAPEX budgeting, forecasting and reporting, ensuring accurate provision of technical and budget information.
  • Oversee Management of Change for changes to plant and introduction of new machinery, plant and equipment from specification through to full installation, collaborating with all relevant parties.
  • Ensure proper installation of equipment in line with manufacturer recommendations, engineering specification, site needs, and/or past performance requirements.
  • Assist or complete health and safety monitoring to include VMR inspections, plant inspections and report all accidents, incidents and close calls. Attend regular health and safety meetings and feedback to the team.




What we're looking for;


  • Ideally educated to degree level or with equivalent engineering / technical experience.
  • Technically proficient in the delivery aspects of Project work
  • Demonstrates ability to work within designated budgets / budget control
  • Demonstrates the ability to lead projects and manage a team in a project delivery environment.
  • Full driving licence
  • Demonstrate a capability to deliver capital investment and work with contractors
  • Design principles across a wide range of engineering disciplines - CDM experience
  • Risk assessment experience applied to project management and engineering solutions (e.g. HAZID / HAZOP)
  • Knowledge of COMAH / MAH scenarios and mitigation



Desirable:

  • NEBOSH Certificate
  • Experience of Environmental legislation
  • Understanding of CDM Regulations
  • Capability to deliver capital investment, prepare proposals and implement within the maintenance team.
