We are currently looking to employ a Band 2 Housekeeper to join our house keeping service. Experience is preferred although not essential to join our amazing team here on Ward D1.

To maintain a clean and tidy environment for patients, staff and visitors. Assist in the needs of patients, visitors and staff and maintain a good working relationship within the team. Be responsible for ordering and maintaining stock levels of equipment. To organise and prioritse own work load. To assist with patient hydration and ensure smooth running of meal times. To ensure appropriate audits are carried out pertaining to environmental cleanliness.

Ward D1 is a 20 bedded general medical ward with a specialty in Haematology, Diabetes and Endocrinology within the medicine and emergency care directorate.

Established in 2003 East Lancashire Hospitals NHS Trust (ELHT) is a large integrated health care organisation providing high quality acute secondary healthcare for the people of East Lancashire and Blackburn with Darwen.

Supporting the nursing environment with :_

Monitoring stock levels and ordering stock items

Ensuring the ward is stocked with vital equipment.

Cleaning of equipment.

Organising the stock room.

General organising and environmental cleaning.

Supporting hydration and nutrition with regular drinks rounds.
