JOB SUMMARY
Looking for a Youth Pastor who is capable of preparing and delivering sound sermons tailored towards youths and young adults within an African setting, and who is fluent in various African languages
JOB OUTLINE
The Youth Pastor will help the church fulfil its calling to build up youths who know their calling and exercise their faith in fulfilling that call. He/She must be a sound teacher of the word and fluent in some African languagesHe/she must have worked in a similar role and have a good experience of working with youths across age groups.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Prepare and preach sermons that help the youths in the church to grow in their
faith
Provide counselling to youths and help them realize their individual goals.
Administer and plan numerous youth programs like evangelism, retreats and
Bible study sessions.
Coordinate with parents of youth group members regarding their children’s
involvement and participation in the church.
Organizing and compile Sunday school curriculum as well as teach/preach in
the sessions.
Participate and contribute to staff and church meetings on matters relating to
youths.
Train youths on how to be future faith-filled leaders and set up programs to
facilitate spiritual growth.
Develop and maintain effective relationships with various leaders in the
community for purposes of swift outreach programs
PERSON SPECIFICATION
o He/she must have worked in a similar role and have a good experience of
working with Youths
o Experience of working in an African church setting
o Must be born again and spirit filled with evidence of speaking in tongues and
evidence of a believer in Biblical doctrines
o Knowledge and understanding of the Pentecostal Christian Faith
o Must be fluent in some Africa language/dialects such as Yoruba, Etsako, Ibibio,
Ibo, Swanhili, as well as English language
o Willing to adapt to the doctrines at Agape International Christian Centre
o Experience of supervising volunteers
o Must be living within Bradford or willing to relocate to within Bradford
o Good written and oral communication and interpersonal skills
