Job Title: Minister of Faith at Gurdwara Guru Nanak Dev Ji
Location: Bradford, United Kingdom
Position: Full-Time (Minimum 37.5 hours per week)

About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and spiritually grounded Minister of Faith to serve our Sikh Gurdwara and its congregation. The successful candidate will play a central role in leading daily religious services, guiding the community in accordance with Sikh principles, and supporting members of all ages in their spiritual development.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and conduct daily prayers, kirtan, and paath services.
Perform all religious ceremonies, including weddings, naming ceremonies, funerals, and Amrit Sanchar.
Provide spiritual guidance and counselling to members of the congregation.
Uphold and promote Sikh values and teachings as outlined in the Guru Granth Sahib Ji.
Participate in community outreach and interfaith activities.
Assist in the teaching of Sikh history, language (Gurmukhi), and values to children and adults.
Oversee the proper maintenance and respectful handling of the Guru Granth Sahib Ji.
Essential Criteria:
Deep knowledge of Sikh scripture, history, and traditions.
Fluent in Punjabi (spoken and written)
Strong skills in performing kirtan and reciting Gurbani.
Experience serving in a Gurdwara setting or similar religious role.
Respectful, humble, and able to work collaboratively with sevadaars and committee members.
Must observe and exemplify the Sikh code of conduct (Rehat Maryada).
Desirable:
Experience with community outreach or youth engagement.
Familiarity with UK safeguarding policies.
