As a new dynamic leadership team, the Head and Deputy are expanding the team. They are looking to appoint an experienced Upper Key Stage 2 class teacher who can drive forward standards in teaching and learning, helping to deliver our vision of educational excellence and unrivalled personal development, who has the experience and expertise to lead a whole school strategic area with a Teaching and Learning Responsibility (TLR) for a key area of the school – our Curriculum. We are looking for someone who:

Is passionate about creating a curriculum that produces incredible people who are empowered to reach their full potential.
Has a solid understanding of the National Curriculum, in particular its purposes and aims, and knows how to bring it to life.
Will coordinate the construction of enquiries which take children on a journey of academic discovery resulting in memorable learning and a social legacy.
Will seek out purposeful experiences, make poignant content choices and design authentic outcomes which allow children to demonstrate their learning and build their cultural capital.
Will work alongside teachers, the Teaching and Learning Lead and SENDCo to ensure the curriculum is implemented taking into account the research into how children learn and is adapted to ensure success for all.
Will adopt and adapt purposeful assessment practice so that our children know more, remember more, understand more and flourish as individuals.
Will support subject leaders in the leadership of their subjects, ensuring the curriculum is progressive, cohesive and owned by all.
Will enter into our dynamic Professional Learning Community for Curriculum Leads to seek out and share best practice.
Values and promotes diversity, ensuring that all children, regardless of background or ability, have equal access to educational opportunities.
