Summary
Health Records Service have 134 WTE staff over 6 sites and may be likened to the engine room, essential in
helping the EKHUFT move forward providing patient focused services. The Patient healthcare records are
required for each contact the patient has with a health professional. They act as a means of communication
between professionals and provide a diary of events serving as the organisations “memory, you will be
responsible for one aspect of the department function at a time but as we are committed to ensuring all
staff know each role multiskilling within Teams is essential and to work flexibly within the Service covering
work of colleagues during peak periods of absence

The Health Records department is a hard-working Team who are highly motivated and effective, as a large Trust we have Services at 6 of the sites and we provide key services within the patient pathway for, Outpatient, in patient, pre-assessment Service, Access to Records and the archiving of records.
