The Adult Social Care workforce has a key role in supporting people to take control of how they improve their life opportunities.

You will be responsible for leading Care Act compliant responses to need, expected to have the highest levels of skills, knowledge, and professional expertise, legislatively literate, confident in your ability to lead and innovate.

You will work with Principal Managers in ensuring the delivery of effective, safe integrated services for adults through the promotion of high standards of practice in assessment and person-centred strengths driven support planning being creative to meet individual outcomes.

The Head of ASC Neighbourhoods and Contact Team will provide overall leadership for all Adult Social Care Staff within the Integrated Care Division’s Neighbourhood Teams, REVEC and Contact Team and take a lead role in their development, in the context of the transformation agenda.

You will be a skilled, effective practitioner acting with considerable autonomy. You should have in depth knowledge and skill in one or more fields of practice which may have been developed through a formal post - qualifying training and development activity.

You will need to have capability to integrate professional knowledge, the views of people using services and research/evaluation evidence routinely in their practice. They will need to demonstrate expert and effective practice in complex situations, assessing and managing higher levels of risk while promoting enablement and self-determination. You will need to network and liaise with a wider range of professionals and other colleagues, including at more senior or strategic levels. They will need to manage complex caseloads and offer expert opinion within the organisation and to others.
