Year 10 Tutor - St Helens
We are recruiting for an experienced tutor or teacher to provide 1:1 support to a Year 10 student in the St Helens area.
The successful candidate should be able to offer 10 hours of support per week, split across 5 sessions during school hours.
The student is performing below age-related expectations and requires support across core subjects.
Working as a Tutor, you will be a vital part of student development and so the ideal candidate will have a patient and empathetic attitude. This role offers the opportunity to make a positive impact on a students educational journey in order to help them succeed with their studies.
Position details:
- Location - St Helens
- Position - Tutor
- Support - Maths, English and Science
- Duration - Ongoing
- Hours - 10 hours p/w, split across 5 sessions
Experience, Training and Qualification:
- QTS / QTLS / PGCE / EYTS or equivalent
- 2 years experience working in a UK school
- Up-to-date Safeguarding and Prevent Awareness training is desirable but not essential
- Previous experience working with SEMH
To be eligible for this role through us, you must:
- Hold Right to Work in the UK
- Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
- Provide two professional child related references
