Security Officer - Lichfield ScrewfixLocation: Lichfield Screwfix Distribution CenterSalary: £10.50 per hourSchedule: 4 on 4 off shift patternWe are currently seeking a dedicated and vigilant Security Officer to join our team at the Lichfield Screwfix Distribution Centre. This role is essential in maintaining the security and safety of our facilities, staff, and visitors.
key Responsibilities:
-Gate House Operations: Conduct thorough checks of incoming and outgoing vehicles, manage access control for visitors and staff, and ensure a secure perimeter.
-Reception Duties: Serve as the first point of contact for visitors, providing a professional and welcoming experience. Manage visitor logs, issue visitor badges, and provide necessary guidance.
-Surveillance: Monitor CCTV systems, ensuring all areas of the site are covered and report any suspicious activities
-Patrols: Conduct regular foot patrols of the premises, including warehouses and external areas, to prevent and detect signs of intrusion and ensure security of doors, windows, and gates.
- Emergency Response: Act swiftly during emergencies, coordinate with emergency services, and follow protocol to ensure the safety of all personnel.
-Report Writing: Maintain daily logs and incident reports, documenting any security breaches or irregularities.Requirements:- Proven experience in a security role, preferably in an industrial or distribution environment.- SIA License holder.- Excellent surveillance and observation skills.- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.- Ability to respond effectively in emergencysituations.- Basic computer proficiency for report writing and email communication.This position offers a competitive hourly rate of £10.50 and a stable 4 on 4 off shift pattern, providing a balance between work and personal time.If you are a reliable, observant individual with a commitment to security excellence, we invite you to apply for this rewarding opportunity at the Lichfield Screwfix Distribution Center.
