The Role
As our Development Management and Conservation Manager, you will spearhead the planning development and conservation service, providing visionary leadership and fostering a supportive working culture.
Your expertise will be crucial in managing significant investments to deliver housing, commercial, and leisure developments, while ensuring the provision of essential community infrastructure and driving economic growth.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the planning development and conservation service with a focus on aligning efforts with the council's vision and priorities.
Work closely with the Service Director to address key issues and champion excellence in service delivery.
Play a pivotal role in attracting major investment and development prospects, driving growth and regeneration in our Borough, while contributing to our climate change ambition.
Provide dynamic leadership, fostering a high-performance culture where change is embraced, and customer satisfaction thrives.
Take ownership of budget performance, ensuring services are aligned with member priorities and financial regulations.
Requirements:
Clear understanding of the role development management plays in delivering regeneration, with experience working with developers, members, and stakeholders.
Experience in management at a principal or team leader level.
Enthusiastic and committed with a passion for driving success and making a tangible impact.
