Regular monitoring and reporting on Service Delivery performance are essential, along with effective budget management to achieve contract profitability while delivering top-notch service to schools.

As a manager, you'll oversee operational delivery, ensuring compliance with MITIE's values and standards. You'll guide site teams in meeting Service Level Agreements (SLAs) promptly, following Facilities Management and Project Agreements. Your responsibilities include budget adherence, implementing controls, conducting audits, and managing subcontractors. Health and safety compliance, client liaison, and reporting are integral to this role. Additionally, you'll collaborate with support functions and contribute to MITIE's World Class Service.

As a key liaison, you'll provide regular feedback to the Account Manager on contract performance, covering service delivery, staff management, and legal compliance. You'll engage with school representatives, validate work quality, monitor additional hours, and address complaints. Additionally, you'll manage staff recruitment, training, and retention, ensuring adherence to MITIE's HR policies. Confidentiality, safety compliance, and other related duties complete your responsibilities.

We are seeking an experienced professional with a background in TFM Facilities Management. Specifically, we require expertise in Hard Services, including PPM (Planned Preventative Maintenance) and Reactive works. Desirable qualifications include knowledge in Legionella, Fire Safety, and H&S (such as IOSH or NEBOSH), with a willingness to undergo further training for full qualifications.

The ideal candidate will be confident in client management, adept at coordinating with various stakeholders (including Cleaning Operatives, Engineers, and Catering Providers), and comfortable working on-site. This role is pivotal at a large educational site, where your presence and influence matter significantly.

In return, this position offers excellent career growth opportunities and the chance to upskill in various areas, contributing to your career development within Mitie. While a background in educational or PFI contracts is desirable, it is not essential. Key attributes we value include strong stakeholder relationship-building skills, operational expertise, and the ability to drive positive change. Proficiency in communication, negotiation, and problem-solving rounds out the desired profile.

Mitie is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all employees to share this commitment. The successful candidate will be subject to an enhanced DBS check and satisfactory references.

-This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and Mitie is therefore permitted to ask job applicants to declare all convictions and cautions (including those which are "spent" unless they are "protected" under the DBS filtering rules) in order to assess their suitability to work with children or vulnerable adults
