The aim of this role is to work with the Quality Governance Co-ordinator and the Quality Governance & Compliance team in general to support the delivery of the local and national clinical audit agenda for North West Anglia NHS Foundation Trust (NWAFT).

The purpose of this post is to support divisional colleagues in devising and executing an agreed programme of audit and service evaluations. The post holder will support the Trust’s participation in national audits and support the divisional leads.

The post holder will also be responsible for ensuring that impactful discussion of information and concerns takes place with clinical teams, with identification of themes, trends and lessons for wider sharing is captured in SMART action plans. The post-holder will also maintain an overview of agreed actions to provide assurance that these have been completed.

The post holder will be responsible for their own workload, with achievement assessed against key performance metrics. The post holder will also provide cover within the team during periods of holiday and sickness absence.

This post is part of the Care Quality Division and will be based at the Trust’s Huntingdon site but may require travel between Huntingdon & Peterborough.
• To support the Trust wide programme of local and clinical audit
• Providing advice and guidance to clinicians undertaking audit
• To assist with the process of registration, including meeting with audit owners
• To ensure audits are carried out in line with Trust standards
• To ensure completed audits contain a SMART action plan
• Follow audit actions through to completion, including obtaining evidence
• Provide monthly training sessions on clinical audit.
