The Opportunity

As our Building Services Technician, you are responsible for keeping installed metering devices working through reporting, diagnosing and repairing faults. This role is for one of our major clients that operates a campus premium office building and will be a 3 days/week, on-site placement. Remaining 2 days will be spent completing small installation works for the same client across multiple London based campuses and supporting our other clients.


As a Building Services Engineer, your responsibilities include:

• Actively integrate internal and external resources in order to achieve the best outcome for the Client and Service Support department.
• Foresee any potential risk to contractual arrangements, service delivery, WHS obligations and inform the Service Support manager.
• Work with the Service Support team to ensure services are carried out in accordance with the standards, WHS codes, client’s requirements and schedules.
• Coordinate and liaise between departments to resolve any issues that may arise in order to meet the quality and scheduled requirements of the Service team.
• Reactive maintenance in-line with strict Service Level Agreements
• Planned and preventative maintenance
• Regular fault reporting
• Daily checking of alerts via our proprietary software tool
• Data repair on rectification of fault




Additionally, you will ideally have:
• An Electrical qualification with current and relevant certificates
• Working rights in the UK
• 5+ years’ experience working in a similar position E.g. BMS/EMS Systems
• Previous electrical metering experience
• Previous networking experience including TCP/IP and Modbus/RTU
• Excellent proficiency with the Office 365 suite of products
• The drive and determination to achieve results
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Initiative to accomplish the objectives of the position and to meet deadlines
• Excellent written skills to produce accurate and detailed reports
• Proven ability to maintain good relationships with a wide variety of suppliers and customers
