Are you ready for an exciting new challenge? We're searching for a Head of Operational Excellence to develop & lead our strategy in the UK & Ireland Contract Logistics business. Can you envision yourself driving sustainable procedures and expanding our initiatives? This is your chance to make an impact and deliver results in a growing marketplace. You will be a CI Specialist, with a Black Belt or Master Black Belt, and the ability to work strategically as well as take a hands-on approach, working closely with the Operations Team. Salary: competitive + car allowance + bonus + benefits Location: Flexible, with the ability to travel to sites across the UK and Ireland What will you be doing?
- Develop and execute an Operational Excellence plan with a clear Continuous Improvement (CI) strategy
- Utilise LEAN Thinking, Six Sigma methodologies, and Value Stream Mapping aligned with the DB Schenker XSite program.
- Foster a culture of Right First Time/Lean principles through coaching and training at site level. Collaborate with contract and operational managers to implement process improvements. Implement training and development programs for CI project management.
- Coordinate CI activities to achieve broader business benefits and establish a centralised focus.
- Proactively identify and pursue continuous improvement opportunities to meet target savings.
- Design and support implementation projects involving process improvement.
- Collaborate with the Solutions team on new business and innovation initiatives.
- Maintain strong customer relationships and analyse data patterns to provide insights to stakeholders.
About You
- Extensive CI management experience
- Core CI skills and experience (Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, Green / Black Belt)
- A proven record of delivering significant, sustained business performance improvements
- Experience in developing and applying Lean and process improvement tools and techniques
- Great stakeholder and change management skills
- Effective people management and influencing skills
- Data analysis skills
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office platforms including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project
- Recognised Industry Standard, Black Belt or Master Black Belt
