Summary


Job Summary

Located in the main entrance of Farnham Community Hospital and being the first point of contact, the Main Reception duties are, to greet the general public and staff in a courteous, and effective manner, responding to any enquiries or sometimes complaints that they have.
• To answer all telephone calls relating to patient whereabouts for Farnham,, Frimley Park and Wexham Park Hospitals, and connect the callers to the appropriate wards.
• To ensure that all reference information held is comprehensive and up to date, including outpatient clinic details, street maps, directions to all areas within Farnham Hospital.
• To deal with bleep pager faults.
• To carry out adhock administration duties.

Duties And Responsibilities: -
• Ensure that the Main Reception Desk is appropriately covered 24/7

Monday – Sunday including Bank Holidays.
• Assist with covering annual leave or sickness for other Reception Staff when necessary. (Please note that duties may need to be changed at short notice to cover sickness or emergency annual leave)
• Undertake annual mandatory training and other training identified to enable you to fulfil your role and provide personal development
• Ensure compliance with the Data Protection Act and Information Governance policies

Reception: -
• Located in the Main Reception area of Farnham Hospital, you will respond to a multitude of face to face enquiries, from both members of the general public and visiting staff.
• You should be focused on Customer Service, and maintain a professional front of house service at all times.
• You should be aware of the location of all Wards and Departments in order to direct Patients and Visitors to clinical areas.
• You will meet and greet, staff and visitors reporting to reception for staff meetings and interviews, where you will contact third parties as appropriate, directing the staff or visitors accordingly.

Operator: -
• Answer both internal and external calls for all sites, in order to assist the main switchroom based at Wexham Park Hospital.
• You will log all Taxi bookings for Trust on staff on all sites, in line with the Trust Taxi Policy (TPP172)
