This is an exciting new job opportunity to work within our new Employment Advice Service, which is a service providing psychological therapies to people with common mental health problems. We are looking for a post-holder who will support individuals with common mental health problems to gain, return to, or retain employment.

The post holder will work with adults from a wide range cultural background, using interpreters when necessary and must be committed to equal opportunities and delivering an inclusive practice. We aim for our workforce to reflect the diversity of the communities we support, and we particularly encourage applications from BAME and LGBTQIA+ communities.

This is a Hull service delivered by a partnership of sub-provider organisations, and the Employment Advisor (EA) will be expected to work collaboratively with partners within a matrix management framework. This role is integrated within the long-established NHS Hull Talking Therapy Service (formerly Let’s Talk) IAPT service

An opportunity has arisen for an Employment Advisor to work within the Employment Advisor Service which will be affiliated to the NHS Hull Talking Therapies Service (Lets Talk) based in Hull.

The post-holder will work within the service providing Employment Advisor support whilst working closely with the Senior Employment Advisor, also undertaking a level of programme of training for this role. The candidate should have an understanding of IAPT services and treatments and have a level of knowledge in relation to employment advice an support.

The post holder will work within Hull and be offering capacity across their working week of both face to face and telephone. You will be expected to work with people with different cultural backgrounds and ages, using interpreters when necessary and should be committed to equal opportunities. You will have excellent engagement skills and be committed to working across a range of providers.

You will be able to work flexibly across the area of service delivery and will be proactive in organisational, service and personal developments.
