Summary

Successful candidates will join our Student Technician Candidate Pool, to be allocated to a series of Student Technician courses that we will be running throughout the year until March 2025. About You Firstly, you must be committed to providing excellent emergency and urgent care for patients of the East Midlands. You must also commit to upholding our Trust values of respect, integrity, compassion, teamwork and contribution. You will have experience in work roles that are people facing and possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You will be able to demonstrate a commitment to personal development and have a realistic understanding of the ambulance service. You must be occupationally fit to undertake the role of a Student Technician. You must hold a full UK manual driving licence with no more than 3 penalty points for excess speed andmust haveat least a provisional C1 categoryat point of application. Additionally, you must hold the following: Essential: Three GCSEs at Grade 3 (current grading) or above (previous grading of Grade D or above) Evidence of applied numeracy and literacy skills in everyday situations C1 driving entitlement (provisional C1 will be accepted at point of application) Aged 18 or above Additional Information SoundappliedEnglish & Maths skills. In your supporting information, please detail how you use English and Maths on an everyday basis. You will be required to undertake numeracy/literacy development on the pathway. You will be supported to acquire level 2 (English and Maths Skills) by the end of the development if not already held. The Student Technician Pathway (Widening Participation) will require you to engage in a range of learning, including but not limited to taught and assessed sessions, self-directed learning, online learning, portfolio development and experiential learning in practice. EMAS will always ask you for proof of qualifications as detailed on your application form. This also includes proof of the provisional/full C1 entitlement on your driving licence.
