What Will Be Your Day to Day Tasks?
Within this role you will be working in a small team who deal with inbound and outbound calls to farmers regarding surveys and questionnaires, your tasks will include but not be limited to:
- Record information received, updating records when relevant.
- To maintain customer records daily, ensuring the register is accurate and as up to date as possible.
- Assess the risks to the confidentiality, integrity and availability of information, ensuring that DEFRA's reputation is never compromised.
- To provide timely and accurate information to telephone callers within 5 working days (both those associated with the farming industry and areas within DEFRA)
- To keep up with voice mail messages and ensure contact is received by the customer within 48 hours.
- To collect and process survey data for the Annual Sheep and Goat Inventory/June Agricultural Survey forms, submitted in line with data handling procedures and to survey schedules
- Update survey information onto FSS (Farm Survey System) and any associated access databases ensuring accurate records and data are maintained.
- Ensure 95% of forms scrutinised by survey close down ensuring all comments are addressed, names and addresses corrected and comments relevant to the survey are actioned.
- Respond to requests for survey information helping holders to complete the surveys by talking them through the sections explaining clearly what is required in a helpful, respectful and courteous manner within 2 working days of the customer making the request
