An exciting opportunity to join our growing team who are managing and refurbishing properties.
Duties include:
- Preparing and mixing different types of raw materials to get the plaster ready
- Applying the plaster to the surface being worked on (inside walls, ceilings, outside walls)
- Carrying out solid plastering as well as applying wet finishes
- Fitting internal plasterboards, also referred to as dry lining or wallboard. This task can involve affixing partitions
- Laying bricks
- Applying or removing grout with a trowel
- Strengthening and sealing foundations with the appropriate material, usually damp-resistant materials
- Repairing building blocks and chimneys
- Refurbishing decorative stonework
- Measuring. Before laying bricks, the bricklayer needs to measure the build area to be able to place the first rows of bricks and damp course
- Installing fixtures and fittings such as handles, locks and hinges
- Sourcing timber by size, strength and budget for woodworking or joinery projects
- Installing plumbing fixtures
- Liaising with clients, suppliers and other tradesmen
