Porta Romana is an English company, based in Farnham, Surrey. Our brand is synonymous with luxury lighting and furniture, supplying many of the most prestigious hotel, yachts, and residential projects around the world. The Porta Romana team is around 100 employees, based either in Farnham or at our London showroom. All our product development, decorative finishing, assembly, and wiring work is undertaken in-house, and we also work with many other skilled artisans around the UK and beyond, to create pieces for our collection.
We are seeking an imaginative and energetic Product Coordinator to join our dynamic team. As a crucial support member in the product department, you will not only collaborate with the entire team but work closely with the product manager to deliver on projects and bring a fresh perspective to various aspects of product coordination and product design.
Key Responsibilities:
Explore new concept ideas as part of the product team. Execute product development tasks, ensuring timely completion and adherence to quality standards.
Push forward prototyping and explore new finishes with the workshop team and makers.
Curate and collate relevant information for the Porta Romana product guide, quality control packs, and internal training documents, ensuring accuracy and relevance.
Work closely with the Product Manager on exciting new growth projects. Conduct comprehensive market research to identify emerging trends, competitor products, and consumer preferences. Collaborate with the Project Manager to produce research reports and contribute to innovative product research. Align research efforts with project goals. Contribute to project planning and decision-making processes.
Raise and receipt Purchase Orders, and update internal orders for refits and photography shoots, ensuring timely availability of photography products.
Minute design meetings and distribute meeting notes. Take ownership of new collection thumbnails and design trackers, ensuring they are up to date.
Manage the design registration process by entering and maintaining new designs.
Key skills
• Proficient in using the Microsoft and Adobe suites with experience using Excel and indesign and/or Illustrator to a competent level.
• Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and suppliers.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities, tasks, and project requirements with a flexible and positive mindset.
• A collaborative approach to working within a team, supporting colleagues, and contributing positively to the overall work environment.
• Strong organizational abilities to manage multiple tasks, deadlines, and responsibilities effectively.
• Meticulous attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in data compilation, documentation, and product information.
• Bring a fresh and imaginative perspective to product coordination, research, and problem-solving.
• With a relevant degree or course.
