Your new company
The client is a leading provider of sustainability, low carbon and renewable energy services within the UK. The client works on some of the most prestigious and innovative strategic asset management and sustainability projects. From global transformation projects to government framework developments, we provide program and project consultancy services to both public and private sector clients.
Your new role
- To undertake engineering Building Physics design and modelling on a range of projects.
- Producing dynamic thermal models using IES software and develop the understanding of a buildings performance and help develop and drive solutions to improve the design with the design team.
- Producing PART L & EPC reports,TM54,Thermal Comfort Reports, daylight analysis, LZC reports, BREEAM modelling reports, etc.
- To work with our digital teams on in house modelling tools development, testing and roll out of these across the business.
- Our wider Building Physics team uses a plethora of design tools from a range of thermal and CFD packages, and you would be encouraged to support work in these areas where you have experience (or develop your skills).
- Help & assist with the technical development of junior staff.
What you'll need to succeed
- Knowledge of British and European Standards, Building Regulations documents etc.
- Have deep knowledge (or passion for developing this) of passive building design in terms of solutions and building form both from an environmental and energy efficiency perspective.
- Proven experience within a similar role, ideally 2 or more years.
- Experience in the development of energy strategies and
- Building Regulations Part L assessments.
- Dynamic modelling experience for a range of subjects.
- Degree qualified - mechanical or building physics.
- Professional Membership (CIBSE, IET, IMechE) preferred.
- Low Carbon Energy Assessor is advantageous.
- Finding solutions and options for digital transformation and the industry's net-zero carbon challenge.
- Wider knowledge of other disciplines is highly desirable.
- A technical and analytical mind with a desire to improve building performance and understanding.
