Join our team as a Van Driver for one of the largest electrical wholesalers in the country. We are actively recruiting for dedicated individuals to support our local operations in the Derby area.
Job Description:
As a Van Driver, you will play a crucial role in delivering electrical items to various locations, including prestigious sites like Rolls Royce, Bombardier, new build sites, and in-house engineers (e.g., RTC House in Derby). Deliveries will include a range of electrical items, from boxes of back boxes and plug sockets to reels of cable (1,2 core to larger 70, 80 core cable). For heavier cables, you will be provided with a Forklift Truck (FLT) for unloading. The role may involve some handballing to offload items at the destination.
Requirements:
Valid and in-date B Licence
Full Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) including Hi-Vis and Safety Boots
Willingness to assist the team as needed
Working Hours:
The role requires starting at 07:00, and typically finishing around 16:00. However, hours may vary depending on the length and nature of the deliveries undertaken.
