A wonderful family known to Harmony at Home is seeking an experienced, professional, and engaging nanny to care for their two children, a girl aged ten and her brother aged eight, from October 2026.
The family is relocating from London to their beautiful country home in Kings Langley, Hertfordshire. They are looking for a nanny who will become an integral part of their busy household. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a warm and welcoming family in a stunning environment.
You will be required to work Monday-Friday, 07.00-19.00 (60 hours/week).
The role can be offered on either a live-in or live-out basis.
For the live-in position, exceptional accommodation is provided in the form of a high-specification one-bedroom apartment situated above the garage, offering privacy and independence. Two evenings of babysitting per week will also be required as part of the live-in package.
The successful candidate will be confident working as part of a household team, alongside the parents, Estate Manager, and Housekeeper. The family values a collaborative approach and are seeking someone who is organised, proactive, nurturing, and able to foster the children’s independence whilst ensuring they are happy, safe, and thriving.
The children are active, energetic, and love spending time outdoors. Their home offers extensive grounds, including two swimming pools and a tennis court, which they enjoy making the most of.
During the school holidays they love fun-filled adventures such as Go Ape, trips to local parks, countryside walks, and other engaging activities. They also have a creative side and enjoy drawing, arts and crafts, and playing games with their nanny.
Both children attend mainstream school. Whilst not essential, experience or knowledge of Special Educational Needs (SEN), particularly ADHD, would be advantageous.
Key responsibilities
• Managing the children’s daily routines, including school drop-offs and pick-ups
• Providing healthy, nutritious meals and snacks for the children each day
• Planning fun, engaging, and age-appropriate activities both at home and during the school holidays
• Supporting homework and encouraging the children’s learning and development
• Organising and accompanying the children to extracurricular activities and appointments
• Keeping on top of the children’s laundry, wardrobes, and ensuring their bedrooms and play areas remain tidy and organised
• Encouraging outdoor play and making full use of the family’s extensive grounds and facilities
• Working collaboratively with the parents, Estate Manager, and Housekeeper to ensure the smooth running of the children’s schedules and routines
The ideal candidate will
• Have previous experience caring for school-aged children
• Be energetic, engaging, and genuinely enjoy spending time with active children
• Be organised, proactive, and able to use their initiative
• Have experience working within a private household or alongside other household staff
• Possess excellent communication skills and a team-focused approach
• Be a careful, confident driver with a full, clean driving licence. A duty car will be provided.
